Case study
OngoingTwo 200kW ultra-rapid chargers going in at a Somerset visitor destination, now awaiting energisation.
Gigawatt Industries is delivering a four-bay ultra-rapid charging hub for PoGo at The Somerset Toiletry Co near Bristol, home to a gift shop and the Soap Bar Café. Two 200kW chargers are in place in the existing car park, so once the hub opens visitors can charge in the time it takes to have a coffee.
The team has installed an 800A Schneider feeder pillar with all supporting cabling and earthing, set the charger foundations and plinth, and fitted the protective bollards. Groundworks were phased around the shop and café staying open, with pedestrian routes kept clear throughout.
Both chargers are in place, with the final works and energisation to come.
The last finishing touches are in hand, and the site is booked in for energisation. Once it goes live the hub adds high-power charging to a stretch of Somerset where ultra-rapid coverage has been thin, useful for local drivers and for anyone breaking a longer journey.
2× 200kW ultra-rapid chargers across 4 charging bays.
800A Schneider Electric feeder pillar.
Full cabling and earthing installation.
Finishing works and energisation still to come.
Delivered for PoGo.
